I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Davenport Arms, and I must say, it was a delightful experience from start to finish. The food was nothing short of beautiful; each dish was not only expertly prepared but also presented with an artistry that made every bite a visual treat. The menu showcased a wonderful variety of flavors, and it was clear that fresh, high-quality ingredients were used in every recipe.
The establishment itself was equally impressive. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with a clean and stylish decor that made for a comfortable dining experience. It was refreshing to see such attention to detail in maintaining a spotless environment, which added to the overall enjoyment of our meal.
A special thank you to our server, Hope, who went above and beyond to ensure our experience was exceptional. Her attentiveness and positive attitude made us feel welcomed and well taken care of. Nothing was too much trouble for her, and she truly enhanced our dining experience.
Overall, I highly recommend The Davenport Arms for anyone looking to enjoy beautifully crafted food in a lovely, clean setting. I can't wait to return!

The Davenport Arms was always the most expensive of the local pubs I frequent, but provided quality food in return. However, recently the menu has become more hit & miss. The menu has been updated, removing all of the great vegetarian options I previously praised it for. The items have also shrunk. For the price, which has only increased, it is no longer as worth it.

Been waiting to go here for a while, and was a bit disappointed to find out that it's yet another pub owned by a conglomerate. My husband's duck arancini had mint, coriander, cucumber, apple, and sweet chilli, and he felt the mint didn't go with the duck at all, and the sweet chilli overwhelmed the other flavours. My crispy beef salad was nice but the peanuts should be chopped more finely. The beef brisket was very dry, but I paid for the Goosefat & bacon potato to substitute the mash, and this was mouth-watering! Apple and cinnamon crumble was delicious and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

Food and care pretty good. Someone needed to clean teeth or mouthwash, but that's a minor issue. Atmosphere was end of lunch on a slow weekday, so we (party of four) had to make our own vibe. Nice place, will definitely go again, especially while our regular place is doing refurbishment.

Went with friends for Sunday lunch which was very very good. Also had their cheese garlic bread which was amazing. It is dog friendly and in a nice area - not shoved in a back room like many pubs. When booking they asked if it was an occasion and it was a friends birthday - they made it special. Good value. What MUST be commented on is the staff. Everyone we dealt with was lovely - friendly, polite and efficient, but special shout out to Merit who was our main server - she is delightful. The management should be proud of their staff. Will definitely return.

Stopped in for some lunch, was on motorbike so had to have a table with space for all my gear. Will was fantastic, found a lovely table by the window. I had gammon and chips, the eggs were perfect the chips were fresh and the gammon was melt in the mouth 👌🏼

Against my better judgment we went to The Devonport Arms last night with friends, who had booked. The food was excellent and service was good, except for the fact we were called guys all the time.
The duty manager was very polite etc but his clothes were absolutely filthy. You could tell that they hadn’t been washed for months.
The table was a little sticky and cutlery hadn’t been polished so looked unclean. My chair was covered in crumbs and the fabric worn and stained.
Needless to say we won’t be back again anytime soon.

Stopped in for lunch and was super impressed with this pub restaurant. The food was very high quality, whilst quite reasonably priced. My schnitzel was exceptional. Very nicely decorated restaurant with very helpful and friendly service. Looking forward to returning already.

Very polite staff, and in one area, they allow dogs in. Food was mixed mine I really enjoyed husband had the Sunday dinner only one roast potatoe, and Yorkshire pudding rather greasy but plenty of the rest.

Booked for a table of 8 for my son’s birthday and what an amazing experience the food was perfect, thé service from all the staff was outstanding they couldn’t do enough for us. I will definitely be going again in the near future. Thank you for a wonderful evening
